Primary care nursing now provides a much greater array of clinical services than it once did. In addition to traditional treatment room services, our nursing team have developed chronic disease and health promotion clinics. They have extended their roles to include family planning services, and training to develop minor illness clinics is being undertaken.

• Blood tests
• Cervical smears
• Childhood immunisations
• Contraception pill checks
• COPD monitoring
• Diabetes monitoring
• Ear syringing
• Hypertension monitoring
• Lifestyle advice and weight management
• NHS health checks
• Routine dressings and removal of stitches
• Spirometry
• Stop smoking support
• Urine testing

Please note that you will need to call 0117 946 6455 and book an appointment to access these clinics (except emergency contraception).

The treatment room also offers the following on the advice of the doctors:

• ECG
• Spirometry
• 24 hour blood pressure measurements
