Gender: Male
Primary qualifications: MbChB (2006) BSc MRCGP
I left Derbyshire in 1999 and came to Bristol University for my medical training. Enjoying University so much, I have also studied ethics and law and have been called to the Bar. I retain an active professional and academic interest in medical law and ethics and am also involved with undergraduate medical education.
Prior to entering general practice, I spent a decade working in hospitals, mainly in anaesthetics, where I was able to combine my love of sport and medicine and worked for the World Rally Championship and Formula One. In primary care I like the continuity of care we can provide and in particular enjoy health promotion and disease prevention.
Outside of work I love to spend time with my family and in particular love to cook. I also love cycling whether it’s my Brompton for work, or my road bike for the next challenge.
